Hey Jayden, awesome job on your tagxedo! It’s definitely one of the most well done tagxedos I’ve seen in awhile. The image is very clearly of Louis Riel, and I had no difficulty when it came to figuring out who it was about. I enjoy the colour scheme your chose as it is appealing to the eye, and yet is still easy to read all the words. You did a really good job picking out words that correspond well with Louis Riel and the life he lead. The following words are ones I personally think fit really well when it comes to describing Louis Riel.
Metis- This is a really good word for the reason that Louis Riel lead the Metis people with the intentions of protecting the Metis people’s status.
Bilingual- This was a clever word to include for the reason that Louis Riel played such a major role in the National Committee of the Metis because he was one of very few people that were bilingual.
Scott- I find it interesting that you added this one into your tagxedo. This is because Riel played a big role in the death of Thomas Scott, which in turn played a big role in his own death. So although yes, Scott was an important part of Louis Riel’s life, he was more so important towards his death.
Hero- I can see this word having some controversy behind it. That coming from whether you agree that yes Louis Riel is a hero, or no you disagree and say he’s a traitor. Many people say he’s a hero for that that he helped the Metis people accomplish while he was alive. Others say he was a traitor because he was the one that lead Thomas Scott to be killed rather brutally. What do you think he is? A traitor or a hero? I wonder if there was this much controversy towards Riel while he was still alive? Or did it all start once he had been killed?
This is the link to a short video on Louis Riel, I personally think it really adds to your blog post and would help to add more background on his life: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Cnr3gWgsdzQ
Once again really great job on your blog post, it was very well done.
